About Us
Welcome to We Need A Village Again (WNAVA), where dreams meet reality and potential finds its voice. As the Founder and CEO, my mission is to transform lives through the power of education and affirmation, one person at a time.
WNAVA is a divinely inspired social justice ministry (Psalm 82:3-4; Luke 10:25-37) and an affiliate of Trumpet of God Ministries—Voice of Distinction, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
"Nava" in Hebrew means "Beauty", symbolizing our belief that every human being is created in the image of Almighty God (Imago Dei) and deserves human dignity and equitable opportunities. Inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:9-10— "Two are better than one" — our Village concept embraces the power of unity: We are Better Together.
We believe that no one succeeds in isolation. We recognize the challenges that plague our communities—broken relationships, diminished educational outcomes, economic struggles, and the fraying of our social fabric. These issues stem from systemic inequities that have weakened the strong, interconnected support systems that once sustained us. The phrase "It takes a village to raise a child" is more than just a proverb; it’s a principle rooted in shared responsibility, unity, and collective care.
We exist because our children deserve a future where they are nurtured, educated, and celebrated. Our parents and caregivers deserve supportive networks to navigate life’s challenges. Our elders deserve respect and inclusion, and every individual in our community deserves the opportunity to thrive.
We are better together when we create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered, where learning, healing, and growth enrich our village and society.
