Reclaiming Your Heritage, Identity, Community, and Legacy
Black Man Recla-Nation (BMR-N) embodies the spirit of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s belief that “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of convenience and comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Mission: Black Man Recla-Nation is an initiative of our social justice ministry dedicated to unleashing the leadership potential of Black men. It encourages them to become proactive, engaged leaders committed to revitalizing their communities and fostering generational change. This mission transcends Black men—it is a rallying call for all men devoted to pursuing social justice for all.
Here’s What We’re Reclaiming: Our Core Values
Identity: Shaping Your Own Identity
Black men are much more than stereotypes. You are created in the image of Almighty God with great strength, creativity, and talent. Rise above the stereotypes and define yourself by your own power.
Heritage: Continuing the Civil Rights Pursuit of Our Forefathers.
Honor the legacy of our ancestors who courageously fought for civil rights by stepping into the arena of civic engagement at the local, state, and federal levels. Their sacrifices paved the way for progress, and now it’s your turn to build upon their foundation by getting involved in shaping the policies and decisions that impact your communities. Whether attending town hall meetings, advocating for change, serving in leadership roles, or voting, your voice and presence are essential to ensuring equity and justice for future generations.
Community: Influence Where Your Voice Is Heard
Your voice matters. From local neighborhoods to barbershops to national platforms, your presence and leadership are essential for our communities to thrive.
Legacy: For Our Children and Future Generations
Affirm, mentor, educate, and inspire those around you to break free from self-defeating mindsets and behaviors. Help them overcome systemic oppression and foster generational transformation.
Looking Ahead:
In 2025, we’re launching the Men’s Leadership Academy (MLA), a transformative program designed to empower young and mature men by providing essential skills and knowledge in personal growth, professional development, community leadership, and holistic well-being.
